The attached Drinking Water Quality Report from Blaine gives details about your water. In 2023 your water has met all health standards as required.
The Bell Bay Jackson Water Association, I.D. 05450, located in Whatcom County is required to monitor your drinking water for specific contaminants on a regular basis. Results of regular monitoring are an indicator of whether or not your drinking water meets health standards. In addition to the water samples collected at the source, Bell Bay Jackson Water also collected coliform bacteria samples in the distribution system. All samples were satisfactory.
Water Associations are required to develop a Water Use Efficiency Program including goals to reduce water use and report to its customers on how the system is progressing towards its goals. Bell Bay Jackson Water monitors its use closely and is aggressive in locating and repairing leaks. In 2023 the system purchased 23,210,016 gallons. Our consumer usage was 12,983,043 gallons. Our unaccounted for water in a three year average was 38% which is above the leakage standard of 10%. The Association is working on a leak detection program.
For more information, please contact the Association at 6912 Hannegan Road, Suite 105, Lynden, Washington 98264. Written copies are sent to customers upon request.
